"Sisters" - Megs Garden Papers

I know! ...  I know! ... I have been away for ages from my blog !

I havent said much because its not my "story" to tell, but my gorgeous Sister-In-Law is a very very very sick lady.  We have nearly lost her so many times now - she never gives in and even when faced with one of the most difficult decisions to make ever she keeps smiling and is one of the most POSITIVE people I know.

My Brother (Greg aka Frog!) and Her  (Pam)   have been together for years and years - like 17 or something like that BUT never made it official UNTIL 23rd December !!! Yayyyy they got MARRIED - It was such a heartwarming BEAUTIFUL ceremony.  I take my hat off to my brother - when he makes his mind up he just "gets in done"  - Him and Pams mum arranged the wedding in 4 days ! Special circumstances letters and authorities etc to be gotten - the whole BIT !

I dont mind telling you that when I walked up to say congrats to them and Pam said
"its my Sister- Officially Sisters"
I cried like a baby (who has not been feed for a day) !!

SO - this layout is for you my Darling "Sister"

I have used the Stunning Megs Garden Papers

Caged Damask

French Garden Collection
I have used two sheets and 3Ded the flowers and the cage - these papers
are MADE for layers and layers !
The Dusty in Bloom flowers can also be found at Megs Garden
Until next time - which is really soon
(I have a mini book made with ONE piece of paper - tutorial soon)
Thanks for stopping by

with Megan's kids and playing with the animals

I hand made the kites with some paper and toothpicks !

I thought before I take Ky tomorrow to have 2012 Santa photo
done I had better scrap 2011's photo !!!
Last year he sat there happily (as you can see) and
even pulled on poor Santa's REAL Beard and Hair !
Hoping that tomorrows photo is just as cute although
he is a bit wary now of the "jolly red man"!

I have used the My Minds Eye papers and 3ded them to my
hearts content LOL

The cute Reindeer, Sleigh and Presents are all from
PLUS I have used the
to HIGHLIGHT some of the bows on the presents and the year 2011
on the red stars !
(ohhhh and the DUSTY ATTIC Paints are to die for as well !!!)

The bird and the stars are resin pieces made from my
MOULDS BY MEL moulds .....

See you soon

Megs Garden - Wall hanging

I have made this wall hanging for a Christmas Present
Using the background Paper from MEGS GARDEN
Nesting (P6301) - I totally love that they have the extra stip
down the bottom which allows my 3D Demon loose to add
extra flowers and birds etc from the paper set !

The Image is from the (amazing) Forget me Not Collection
this is the Elements 1 sheet (1083)

I have also used the Bridal Veil (DA805) and Cornsilk flowers  (DA806)
and those cute little leaves (DA810) all available from Megs Garden

The clock and the Butterflies are from Dusty Attic and
that very yummy frame is from Moulds by Mel

I have an ATC Mailer (from Megs Garden) to share soon
along with some layouts

Dreaming ....

Have you ever seen a piece of Paper and just "fallen in love with it???"

Thats exactly how I felt when I saw these paper from Meg's Garden
so well named

This is the focus of my canvas that I have created for my office at work

I have also used lots of texture around the edge with
a Damask mask and Dusty Attic Brick Wall
Layers of spritz and paints have been overlayed with
each other to create the different colours to match the paper.

I totally love how the Dreaming paper has tiny hues of blue in it as
well so I bought that out into the canvas !

Those devine resin birds are from Moulds by Mel
and the frame and chipboard is from Dusty Attic

Megs Garden also has an AMAZING range of embellishments
so I couldnt resist putting the ornate handle on my canvas either

The Quote reads

Tomorrow is the start of the exciting Blog Hop

Thanks for checking in

This 6ft 4 tall wonderful "Man" is one of my Sons, one of my babies

I gave him his belly button for goodness sake!
Now he works and drives and has a wonderful girlfriend and
has heaps of friends and goes out and makes up his own mind !!!
(MMhhh!!! he has been doing doing that since he was about TWO!")

I just have to say I am so very PROUD of the man my MICHAEL

Tomorrows Memories

Happy Friday Everyone

I have a few layouts to share with you .....

Tomorrows Memories got the NEW Kaiser Boys range and thought of ME first up
and I have to say it is "right up my alley"
Really Boyish and awesome for not only younger boys
but my three (caveman) teenagers as well !!!
(shots where taken in the shop as well )

This is my "big boy" when he was 13! - what a sweet photo of him I know!
Check out the Background paper there - so easy to stamp and distress- and
OMG One of the many new releases from Dusty Attic is the
Power Lines (DA0700) - It comes in one long stip 12" long for across your
page if you wish but I have cut it up and used it
Also there are peeks of chicken wire sticking out here and there as well

Close up of the woodgrain paper and distressing

Awwhhh BIG Hugs for Mum from the "Baby" of the family
(He turned 16 on Monday "sniff")
There is a paper that have all those sayings and circles on them
- I have punched them out and added them to the back of the semi-circle
with our photo on it!
The "dotty" distressing is added using the end of a paint brush
dabbed here and there. I have sewn on some of the Dusty Attic Cogs Frame Set
to complete the whole circle theme.

Close up of the scrunch circles and cogs

My Big Boy Michael again - I loved the stickers sheeet that comes
with the paper range and those strips at the bottom of his photo are
the cut away section of the bottom of your 12x12 papers !!!
I have used a Tribal Border from Dusty on this as well as
Barbed Wire and chicken wire !
Do you remember at school how we used to make "coins" - place a
20c under some paper and then use a lead pencil to rub over the image???
I have done this to the page except using Chippy pieces and an emery board
(sand paper or distresser)
I totally love the way it has turned out
close up of the "rubbing/distressing"

NOW I KNOW what your thinking !!!
She has THREE boys and there is Two layouts of one of them
and then another layout of another one .....
has she forgotten the middle child ?????????
NO - I didnt
In fact I did a whole little mini album on Steven
BUT forgot to photograph it !!!
Dont worry I will get it done and posted up as soon as possible !

Have an awesome weekend and see you later
Love J xox

HINDSIGHT - provides you with new eyes !

Hi everyone, this is my layout that I did for PMS
(you should really join in you know !)
There are lots of things that I would change "in Hindsight"
but then I get to thinking... would I?
Every decision no matter how big or small has got me to this day !
I have an amazing Husband, Three awesome sons,
 a totally scrumptious little nephew,
great parents and a brother I love ,
a loveley house, absolutley the best of friends,
even my ex husband and I get well.
I do believe though that Hindsight does provide you with new eyes!
Its the little things that you wont let happen again
little things that can teach you a lesson in who and what
you are and where you belong in the world.
Anyway - enough prattling on from me ...... Here is my layout

I have used Prima papers (love anything with birds on it!)
Dusty Attic Chipboard and Blooms
Mini  Vintage Chandalier DA0625, Mini Wire Dress form DA0670,
Botanic accent #1 DA0460,Nesting Bracket Frame DA0326
and Typewriter Font ABC Set DA0143
Moulds by Mel  that cute bow !

I added/dabbed texture paste to the frame
with my finger to add some dimension.

Thanks for stopping by and I will be back later on in the week with
